Early Learning Center for PK-4 and Kindergarten
Established in 1743, Saint Francis Academy is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ. In the spirit of Saint Francis, who was asked by God to rebuild His church, we strive to prepare our students for a life of service to their community and to the world by building a strong foundation of faith, along with academic excellence.
We provide competitive programs with well-rounded offerings to educate the whole person. The core curriculum is in alignment with state and national standards and is rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition. In addition to the core curriculum, students participate in enrichment courses. Art and music are woven throughout the curriculum.
Our PreK and Kindergarten teachers have worked with students with a wide range of needs, including ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties as well as emotional and behavioral difficulties. Students are given short term measurable goals which align with their goals articulated in the IEPS. The daily lesson plans have been adapted to the special education students in the classroom which allows them to fully participate in the classroom. We also provide one on one instruction by our assistant teacher if the need arises. Sensory play is an effective teaching strategy that is utilized in the classroom.
